Texas-based jewelry designer Gaye Fields spent 30 years running on the corporate treadmill. Then after retirement, she discovered what had been missing from her life - jewelry designing:
Before I began designing jewelry I worked for 30 years in corporate America. During that time I often felt an elusive internal battle. After retiring in 2000, it became clear that the more successful I was in the corporate sense, the more I suppressed my creativity. That 30-year internal conflict was the artist in me struggling to be heard.
