Anna Whitmore Designer Jewelry

Metal and Gemstone Jewelry
Anna Whitmore began her journey in jewelry design while still in high school; over the following years, her education within the craft of metalworking continued, though it was not a central part of her life. In 2003, with the encouragement of those close to her, Anna made the decision to plunge into the unknown and begin her own design company. Anna Whitmore Jewelry Design was born.

Influenced by the subtleties of the natural world, jeweler Anna Whitmore combines hand-stamped pieces of oxidized silver with pearls, gemstones, and gold to create stunning, hand-fabricated pendants and earrings. These intricate pieces include stamped botanical designs created by the artist, featuring symbolically important flowers, leaves, and seed pods - White Oak leaves for independence, Stonecrop flowers for tranquility, Olive leaves for peace, Cedar cones for strength.

Anna Whitmore has been making jewelry for more than 10 years. She received jewelry and design training at the Mendocino Art Center and Santa Rosa Junior College. She works from her studio in beautiful Sonoma, California, and her jewelry can be found in fine galleries and boutiques around the country.

Japanese Keshi Pearls
Keshi pearls are a rare form of freshwater pearl. These pearls are only harvested every three years and are difficult to find in a high quality shape and luster. Anna uses these pearls in her designs because of their beautiful and uniquely organic shape.

Semiprecious Stones
All semiprecious stones used in Anna's designs are of natural origin (no dyed or heat treated stones), and are chosen for consistency in color and quality of cut.

Oxidized Sterling Silver
Much of Anna's work features oxidized sterling silver, which becomes more lustrous over time, and with wear it may begin to brighten on exposed surfaces and remain dark in recessions. Oxidized silver cannot be cleaned with chemicals; if necessary, use an old toothbrush, dish soap, and warm water.See full article.
