Loree Rodkin is one of the hottest jewelry designers in Hollywood. Her intricately engraved and exquisitely jeweled pieces have been featured in countless magazines. Known for her nonconformist and visionary approach to jewelry making, Rodkin's jewelry is handcrafted by old world artisans in platinum, gold, and precious gemstones.

A former Hollywood architect and manager to stars such as Cher, Brad Pitt, and Robert Downey Junior, Rodkin has always been fascinated by jewelry - she started making her own as a teenager, thanks to an annual budget bestowed upon her by her mother.

"There's definitely an LA mentality in my designs," Loree says. "I never saw jewelry as something to be thrown back in the vault at the end of the evening - I want women to wear my diamonds with their jeans and not feel bad about it." It's this philosophy that naturally led Rodkin to using iconic symbols - like diamond-studded scarab beetles, serpents, and skulls - in her work.

It was in the late 80s that Rodkin's childhood hobby turned into a career. She gave a few pieces to well-placed friends and soon, her bejeweled pendants, extravagant drop earrings, and signature "Bondage ring" were so in demand she took up designing full-time.

But that's not to say she's become wholly conventional about it. "I don't do collections as such," she muses. "I have design ADD. The moment I've finished something, I'm thinking about what's next."See full article.
